  • Family Gives Thanks and Donation to The Scarborough Hospital
    Published January 22, 2013

Instead of giving gifts to each other this past holiday season, the adult members of the Hulbert family decided to give a gift to The Scarborough Hospital Foundation.

Stan Hulbert has been undergoing treatment for colon cancer at the General campus since June and the family wanted to do something to say thank you for the excellent care he received.

The family is very appreciative and grateful for all the compassionate and skilled care Stan has received and continues to receive. He is currently being treated by Dr. Henry Krieger and his staff in the oncology clinic. The family has found that at all stages of Stan’s stay, staff were eager to make him comfortable.

Stan has had really excellent care at the oncology clinic with Dr. Krieger and his nurse Laura Lampkie. The family called them “a great team.”

The staff of 4 Central have also been exceptional; and the family appreciates the care of surgeon Dr. Mohammad Tabari, Dr. Kibar Yared and his staff in the heart function clinic, as shortly after the surgery Stan had a heart attack.

Stan is still undergoing chemotherapy, but he is doing very well.
