Marek Hospitality and The Scarborough Hospital (TSH) are excited to welcome guest Chef Bibek Majumder to the General campus cafeteria on Tuesday, November 22 as he prepares a special East Indian lunch menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“With over 34 years of experience, Chef Bibek has developed a passion for using fresh, local, and healthy ingredients to showcase all that is great in East Indian Cuisine,” said Gord Shaw, Director of Retail Food Services for Marek Hospitality. Marek runs the cafeteria at the General campus, as well as the Tim Hortons locations at both hospital campuses.
Hosting Chef Bibek is part of the ‘Provincial Plate’ program launched this fall by Marek to include more dishes made onsite with local ingredients into the weekly cafeteria menu.
“We’re honoured to have Chef Bibek join us at TSH,” said Tyler Crocker, Director Facilities and Environment at TSH. “In addition to East Indian cuisine, his international culinary expertise includes Arabian, Chinese, Italian, and European entrees.”
Chef Bibek’s lunch menu will include a choice of:
- Chicken Tikka
- Prawns Malai Curry
- Beef Masala
- Chana Masal
- Butter Paneer
- Mixed Vegetable Bhaji
All served with:
- Peas Pilau
- Naan Bread
- Mango Salad
The General campus cafeteria is located on the Ground Floor of the hospital by the Tower Lobby entrance.
