Karen Gordon, Chair

Karen Gordon is a proud member of Scarborough community where she lives, raises her children and runs her business, Squeaky Wheel Communications. In addition to chairing the CAC at TSH she is the Chair of the Parent Council at Centennial Road Junior Public School and an active fundraiser and contributor a number of charitable organizations

Gael Gilbert

Gael Gilbert is the Executive Director of Agincourt Community Services Association and a resident of Scarborough. Gael has developed numerous, creative initiatives to meet the many needs of the communities with which she has worked, which include the homeless, marginalized women, adults involved in the criminal justice system and youth. In her private life, Gael fostered almost 50 troubled youth and is passionate about our responsibility as a community to care for each other.

Mike Del Grande

Mike Del Grande has been a resident of the Silver Springs community since 1983. He is a past Chair of the TCDSB and trustee for 9 years, Community Association 24 years and City Councillor for Ward 39, Scarborough Agincourt since 2003. He is also a past director of TSH. He has a B.Comm, C.A, Master of Theological Studies and B.Ed.

Carmen James-Henry

Carmen James-Henry is a Registered Nurse and a resident of the Scarborough for over 30 years. She presently teaches in the Collaborative Nursing Degree Program at Ryerson University and is the Vice-President to the BOD at Tropicana Community Services Organization and past BOD of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. She is the Director of Nursing & Health Services of her consulting business.

Denis Lanoue

Denis Lanoue was Co-Chair of the Scarborough Coalition of Communities who triggered the appointment of the New Leadership Team at Scarborough Hospital. A resident of Scarborough for 26 years, Denis is a retired engineer who volunteers his time as President of the Heathwood Ratepayers Association and of the Esso Annuitant Club. He is also on the Leadership Team of the Scarborough Association of Seniors

Paul Rook

Paul Rook has been an active member of the Scarborough community for over 35 years, as a high school teacher (Agincourt, Macdonald, Mowat, Thomson) a former Scarborough President of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation and a political organizer. Now retired, he continues to participate in the community as Chair of Agincourt Community Services Association, as a volunteer at CICS and as a teacher/coach for people learning dispute resolution.

Patricia Sinclair

Patricia Sinclair has resided in Scarborough for over thirty years. She takes an active interest in her community at home and abroad. At present she helps lead a citizen’s group promoting better redevelopment, is a director of a condominium board (advocating for better consumer protection) and works for a classical music festival. She has spent over a decade improving seniors’ services and has been involved in an international organization focused on democratic freedom, economic and social development.

Ranju Bakshi-Advani

Ranju Advani is a Scarborough resident and committed community volunteer, fundraiser and event planner. She has chaired several organizations in Ontario and Alberta such as Changing Together – A Centre for Immigrant Women, AWIC Community and Social Services and Panorama India. She has also served as Vice Chair of AWCISA and on an Advisory Committee at the Toronto Harbourfront Centre. A former health legislation planner, she is currently Executive Director of AWIC.
