The Critical Care team provides expert care to patients with complex conditions requiring advanced respiratory support, hemodynamic monitoring and support, cardiac monitoring and other life supporting treatment modalities.  A multidisciplinary team including Intensivists, Cardiologists, Pharmacists, Registered Respiratory Therapists, and Registered Nurses with advanced training in critical care work collaboratively to provide quality care in a compassionate environment.

At the General campus, Critical Care is a 22-bed unit in the Critical Care Centre on the 3rd floor of the new West Wing and consists of Intensive Care, Coronary Care and Acute Medical Care. 

At the Birchmount Campus, Critical Care includes two distinct units working collaboratively; the Intensive Care Unit located on the 2nd Floor and the Coronary Care Unit located on the 3rd floor.
