Home Respiratory Services at TSH offers in-home oxygen therapy and services to our patients with various respiratory ailments including obstructive lung diseases, restrictive lung diseases and palliative complications.

Breathing prescribed oxygen increases the amount of oxygen in the blood, usually reduces shortness of breath and other symptoms, and helps increase survival. Oxygen is not addictive and causes no side effects for our patients.  Home oxygen can assist to strengthen our patient’s independence and make it easier and safer to fulfill daily living activities.

As a registered vendor with the province’s Assistive Device Program* (ADP) for approved funding, we are committed to providing 24 hour emergency assistance to our oxygen patients. Once a patient is set-up with a physicians’ referral, we ensure that all equipment is safe and user-friendly.  Afterwards, our registered respiratory therapists perform follow up home visits on a regular four to six week basis.
