Isabel is a senior executive with experience in operations, finance, marketing and business development across a broad range of industries in the private and public sectors. Since 2007, Isabel has held the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer role for Green Shield Canada, one of the leading Health Care Benefit carriers in Canada. Prior to this appointment, Isabel was President and Chief Executive Officer of Financial Executive International, a professional association of Chief Financial Officers.

Isabel’s previous management experience includes positions at Sunlife Financial, Aviva Insurance, Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, Manulife, Canadian Tire, Ford Motor Company of Canada and Peat Marwick Chartered Accountants. Isabel’s passion is relationship and partnership building, invigorating change, creating energy and commitment of the team with a focus on critical/ analytical thought and generating creative ideas to maximize profits, markets, costs, opportunities and added value to the organization.

Isabel’s Board experience includes the Saint Elizabeth’s Visiting Nurses Association, Trans Canada Transfers Inc, Kerry’s Place Autism Services, Emagine, Infrastructure Ontario, Aprio and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.

Isabel is a Chartered Director and also teaches at the Director’s College and George Brown Business Department. In addition, Isabel holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Accountant of Ontario.
