Michael brings over 25 years of professional experience in both the private and public sectors. Since 2006, Michael has been a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers and serves as the National Leader of the Canadian Government and Public Sector practice, as well as Lead for the Ontario Public Sector Practice with clients in government, healthcare, energy and the municipal sectors. For the past four years, Michael has also served as Vice-Chair for the Ontario Information Technology Association of Canada.
Michaels experience in the public sector was developed within a global consulting company where he was responsible for public sector business development for high value consulting, large-scale systems integration and business process outsourcing. Michael has also held a variety of Assistant Deputy Minister roles for the Province of Ontario working in both central agencies as well as line Ministries with roles in policy, operations, corporate services and information technology.
During his tenure with the Ontario Government, Michael was responsible for a number of innovative initiatives which introduced large-scale change to the operations of the Ontario Public Service in the provincial-municipal finance, ministry operations, alternative service delivery and IT strategy and effectiveness.
Michael has been an active volunteer on various committees. Aside from his current role as Vice-Chair of the Ontario Information Technology Association of Canada, he has also been past Executive Vice President of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, past Member of Toronto Harbourfront Centre Board, and was a Volunteer with Community Living Toronto.
Michael has a Masters of Public Administration from Queens University and an Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo.
