The TSH Pacemaker Program consists of Outpatient Cardiac Procedure Room and a Pacemaker Clinic at the General campus. In our pacemaker program, our specially trained nurses provide their expert care for our patients during preparation for the procedure, in the Operating Room and during the recovery process post procedure. After receiving education on pacemakers, patients are discharged home the same day and are followed as out patients in our Pacemaker Clinic.
Outpatient Cardiac Procedure Room
The Outpatient cardiac procedure room is an outpatient room where patients receiving pacemaker implants and other related pacemaker procedures are managed before and after their surgical event. Specially trained nurses will assess the functioning of the pacemaker and provide teaching instructions to the patient and family. Other procedures that are performed in our outpatient procedure room include Elective Cardioversions. A referral from a Cardiologist is required.
