The Scarborough Hospital embarked on an extensive community consultation process in an effort to define "the ideal patient experience." The response was incredible with 2,885 respondents providing valuable input through face-to-face meetings, a patient mapping study, focus groups and various online surveys.
It is clear: patients have confidence in the quality of care at The Scarborough Hospital and feel the ideal patient experience includes involvement in their care plan and receiving friendly, respectful, courteous and friendly service. Defining the ideal patient experience is key to our Clinical Action Planning Process, which is designed to create a stronger hospital for the residents of Scarborough.
