Donor reception to applaud donors, unveil updated recognition wall

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, The Scarborough Hospital Foundation is hosting a Donor Recognition Reception on October 7, 2010, to commemorate and celebrate its caring community.

“Our hospital’s mission is to provide an outstanding care experience that meets the unique needs of each and every patient,” says Michael Mazza, TSH Foundation President & CEO. “Donor support allows the hospital to upgrade and purchase new equipment, as well as redevelop physical space, giving our top-notch physicians and staff the state-of-the-art tools they need to save lives. While the government funds hospital operations, strong communities build strong hospitals, and it is our honour to publicly thank our caring community.”

Donors being recognized include: monthly donors, donors who have reached $5,000 cumulative giving, planned giving donors who have included TSH in their wills, staff payroll donors via the It Starts with Me! campaign, donors who have donated $500 or more this year and last year, long-standing donors who have been giving for more than five consecutive years, and those donors whose giving has allowed them to move to the next level of support on the wall.

When:  Thursday, October 7, 2010, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Where:  The Scarborough Hospital, General campus Auditorium, 3050 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto

Attendees: Master of Ceremonies Michael Mazza, President & CEO, TSH Foundation; Dr. John Wright, President and CEO, TSH; Harvey Walker, Leadership Donor; Dr. Bruce Shuckett, Medical Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, TSH General campus
