On Saturday, October 2, The Scarborough Hospital Foundation is hosting a garden party at the beautiful estate of the Punjani family on The Bridle Path. Promising a world of wonder, the Scarborough Garden Party will celebrate and embrace the richly diverse Scarborough community. Guests will be received under a heated tent, with exotic food and entertainment from the surrounding South Asian, Greek and Chinese communities.
“My wife recently had surgery at The Scarborough Hospital, and the entire family was very concerned for her,” says Mohamed Punjani. “But we were all so happy with the great care she received, and so thankful for her speedy recovery, that we wanted to show our appreciation. We are hosting this garden party to give back to the hospital and to celebrate the remarkable community we live in.”
Tickets are $300 each, and proceeds from this event will help raise critical funds for Orthopaedics and Paediatrics at The Scarborough Hospital. Over the next five years, TSH requires $60 million in new and replacement equipment and technology. An on-site Equipment Fair will display some of the urgently-needed pieces, such as a Jackson Spinal Table, a Laparoscopy Tower, a Ventilator and a Neonatal Incubator.
The media is also invited to attend the Scarborough Garden Party for a photo opportunity:
