The Scarborough Hospital (TSH) is fortunate to have the assistance of over 800 dedicated volunteers at our hospital’s two campuses. New volunteers are always welcome, and information sessions are held periodically throughout the year.
Volunteers play a valuable role at TSH. Their hard work, compassion and dedication are critical to ensuring our community receives the very best patient care in a caring and supportive environment.
Volunteers include men, women and students from our surrounding community. We are grateful for their time and appreciate their role in creating a positive experience for all who enter our doors.
If you are interested in volunteering at TSH and are able to make a minimum one-year commitment, please contact either of our volunteer services offices for additional information.

On April 20, 2010, The Scarborough Hospital celebrated National Volunteer Week which included the annual recognition and long service dinner. Three TSH volunteers, Jean Kennedy, Shirley McDonald and Thelma Thomson, reached the unbelievable milestone of 50 years of volunteer service each. Many thanks to these three dedicated ladies and all the TSH volunteers who donated an incredible 56,705 hours to our hospitals last year.
