Warren has worked primarily in the financial services sector and has had a strong interest in health care issues. Since 2007, Warren has been engaged within the financial sector as a strategic consultant on regulatory/stakeholder relations, corporate governance, risk and compliance issues. Warren is currently one of the independent members on the Finance, Investment and Audit Committee of Canada Health "Infoway"- a federally-funded, independent, not-for-profit organization whose members are Canada’s 14 federal, provincial and territorial Deputy Ministers of Health. The Infoway acts as Canada’s catalyst for collaborative change to accelerate the use of electronic health information systems and electronic health records across the country.

From 1998 to 2007, Warren was the Senior Vice President of the Canadian Bankers Association, with responsibility for corporate operations, general counsel and compliance. Warren’s focus over the last several years has been on regulatory and stakeholder relations and on corporate governance and risk issues as they apply to both financial services and health care. Warren is now working with ICICI Bank, India’s largest private bank, as the Bank develops a presence in Canada. 

With his work on governance and risk issues in the financial services sector, Warren has attended course programs at Cambridge University and in Switzerland and has acted as the Chair of a number of committee groups for the International Banking Federation. In addition, Warren has served as the Chair of Independent Review Committees for two investment fund organizations in Canada. 

Throughout his career, Warren has been active in the community and he currently serves as a Director of Next Door Family Resources, a not-for-profit organization providing drop-in facilities for children in the south Etobicoke area.

Warren grew up in Scarborough, attended the University of Toronto and has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Osgoode Hall Law School. Warren has also completed the Directors’ Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
