I have so much to tell you!
As I reflect on the first six months of ReFRESHing our Menu, I realize our learning to date has been as much about what not to do as what to do.
In our work to institute a new patient food culture here at the General campus, I don’t think there will be one process that will look the same as it did when we started this project!
We are learning new things nearly every day about kitchen design and equipment installation, purchasing and RFP preparation, local and central labour relations, just to name a few.
Who knew?
We didn’t when we started.
We did know, however, that we wanted to share what we learned, and hopefully inspire at least one more hospital or health care organization to undertake a similar project.
