Patients and visitors at The Scarborough Hospital can now enjoy free wireless access to our guest wi-fi network, allowing users to send and receive email and surf the internet on their own wireless-enabled laptops or devices.
The guest network is available in all patient areas of the hospital.
Connecting using Windows (may vary depending upon system version)
- Click the Start menu in the lower left corner of your screen.
- Choose Connect To.
- Select TSHGuest from the list of networks. Click Connect.
- Open your web browser (Internet Explorer, for example).
- A disclaimer page will load. Please read the page, and use the Username and Password at the bottom of the page to log-in to the network. Your use of the log-in information signifies that you have accepted the terms and conditions set out in the disclaimer.
- You are now free to use the internet for email or surfing.
Connecting using Mac OSX
- Select System Preferences from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen.
- Click the Network icon.
- Make sure Airport is turned on, and select TSHGuest from the Network Name menu.
- Click Apply in the lower right hand corner of the Network window.
- Open your web browser (Safari, for example).
- A disclaimer page will load. Please read the page, and use the Username and Password at the bottom of the page to log-in to the network. Your use of the log-in information signifies that you have accepted the terms and conditions set out in the disclaimer.
- You are now free to use the internet for email or surfing.
For other wireless devices, including iPhone, iPod Touch, PSP, Blackberry or similar devices, please consult your user manual for instructions on accessing wireless networks. We are unable to provide technical support to guests, and assume no responsibility for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the network.
