Rouge Valley Health System and The Scarborough Hospital have a long history of working together to improve health care for the communities they serve. Over the years, these hospital corporations have been dedicated to building a strong partnership, which has resulted in the integration of various regional programs.
The Scarborough Hospital and the Centenary site of Rouge Valley Health System will come together under one organization, with one governance structure (currently referred to as Amalco). The newly created Amalco Hospital Corporation will continue to be responsive to the needs of the Scarborough community and ensure that resources are used efficiently to provide sustainable health care services well into the future.
If you are interested in helping us build a new organization that will deliver the best possible health care to the residents of Scarborough – as a member of the Board – we want to hear from you.
A diverse array of professional backgrounds and skills are sought, reflective of the demographics and diversity of the Scarborough community. We are seeking skills and experience to provide best practice oversight and governance for a complex hospital environment from individuals with business acumen in Governance, Executive Leadership, Finance, Risk Management, Legal, and IT, as well as from those who believe they can provide a tangible benefit to a newly merged, multi-site organization with their change management, integration, development, and planning skills and expertise. Most importantly we are seeking individuals with an unwavering commitment to the betterment of the delivery of health care services in the Scarborough community.
