Our Stories - Maternal Newborn Program

One out of ten babies in the GTA is born at the Scarborough Hospital annually. In this story, we see TSH staff in action as they help patients in The Maternal Newborn Program. Both mothers and infants are given individualized care, sensitive to their own birthing customs and culture. In this program, a variety of specialists like obstetricians and  anesthetists are ready to go at a moment’s notice, to ensure the healthiest possible outcome of their newborn babies.
