  • Volunteer Assistance Available For Those In Need

    Call Ahead for Volunteer Assistance – or CAVA for short – was developed by the hospital’s Volunteer Services program and is available for anyone planning a visit to The Scarborough Hospital.

    CAVA provides a 24-hour scheduling service, which patients or caregivers can call up to 24-hours prior to their scheduled appointment to have a volunteer meet them upon arrival.

    CAVA can be accessed one of two ways:

    • by telephone at 416-438-2911, ext. 6846;
    • or by sending an email to cava@tsh.to

    Voicemail messages are checked every morning and a confirmation call is provided so patients know someone will be there for them.

    When contacting CAVA, please include the following information:

    • Patient name
    • Contact telephone number
    • Date and time of appointment
    • Arrival time and door location
