Executive Compensation Plan

Scarborough and Rouge Hospital (SRH) is now the third largest community hospital in the province, following the merger of The Scarborough Hospital with the Centenary site of the Rouge Valley Health System. SRH is the only health network serving the 650,000 residents of Scarborough and surrounding areas.

In September 2016, the Government of Ontario filed a regulation that requires all broader public sector organizations, including SRH, to develop an Executive Compensation Plan (ECP), share it for public consultation, and seek approval by the Minister of Health.

SRH’s draft ECP is available online for public consultation. We invite the public to provide feedback and comments about the ECP by emailing by Friday, April 6.

SRH’s ECP reflects our hospital’s commitment to attracting and retaining the best talent, and is aligned with eight hospitals of similar size and scope in the Greater Toronto Area. Our compensation philosophy is based on the principles of accountability, alignment, engagement, fairness, objectivity, and transparency. We are committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients and our community, and funding for executive compensation will not impact funding dedicated to patient care.
