Patient Programs

The Medicine Program at The Scarborough Hospital (TSH) provides both inpatient and outpatient services, which support a patient-centred approach to acute care.

Patients are primarily admitted to the program through the Emergency Department, but can also be admitted from an outpatient clinic or inpatient unit. Once admitted, care is provided by an interprofessional health care team, including nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, dietitians, speech and language pathologists, hospitalist physicians and other subspecialists, which supports our patients’ overall well-being.

Leadership is provided by Clinical Resource Leaders, Nurse Practitioners and Patient Care Managers, who lead both clinical practice and operational accountabilities to ensure a consistent provision of high-quality care.
