The Scarborough Hospital’s Child Development Program provides assessments for children less than five years of age with a suspected developmental problem, such as autism, motor delays, or speech problems. It also provides limited speech and language therapy for children who have communication delays, as well as follow-up care for select infants following discharge from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The Child Development program is staffed by a robust interprofessional team, including a Developmental Paediatrician, two Paediatric Neurologists, a Child Psychologist, Social Worker, and several Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.
