The Scarborough Chinese Outreach Committee (COC) and The Scarborough Hospital (TSH) invite the community to attend the Scarborough Health Fair to be held on Saturday, May 23 at L’Amoreaux Collegiate Institute.
Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the following individuals presiding:
- Soo Wong, MPP, Scarborough-Agincourt
- Janet Dalicandro, Chair, TSH Board of Directors
- May Ye Lee, Founder, COC
- Paul Tam, Vice-President, COC and Medical Director, TSH’s Regional Nephrology Program
The Scarborough Health Fair will be an interactive experience, connecting the Chinese community to medical experts and health care providers. Participants will have an opportunity to browse through displays and booths on health care services at TSH and other community health agencies ranging from emergency services to public health, from maternal newborn to care for the elderly, and everything in between. Medical seminars will also be offered throughout the day and various interactive displays will be available. Over a thousand visitors are expected during the day.
Attendees will learn more about the programs and services available at TSH and the various health care services available in their community. This event will also promote healthy lifestyles and bring awareness to an array of health issues.

Location: L’Amoreaux Collegiate Institute 2501 Bridletowne Circle, Scarborough (Warden Avenue/Bridletowne Circle)
Nearly forty (40) booths and displays, including a dozen programs and services from TSH, will be at the Health Fair. New to the Health Fair this year is TSH’s Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network (GAIN) Clinic with information on outreach services for seniors, as well as the Hong Fook Connecting Health Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic.
In addition, TSH’s Maternal Newborn and Child Care program will be discussing perinatal services for women who are nearing the end of their pregnancy, and will also offer information on the wide variety of services available for women and children at the hospital.
And, TSH’s Social Work program will offer vital information on advance care planning.
