Despite the storm this weekend, The Scarborough Hospital (TSH) has had no power outages and at this time, there is power at both campuses and at five out of the six satellites.

The one satellite – 78 Corporate Drive – has no power and as a result, dialysis patients who receive treatment at this location are being redirected to the General campus for treatment.

TSH’s Emergency Departments are open for those requiring emergency care. As a reminder, we are encouraging everyone to consider alternate care services for non-emergency needs, such as family doctors, walk-in clinics and Telehealth Ontario.

Back-up generators are on standby and ready to go should TSH experience any power outages going forward.

If you have no power and require shelter, please go to one of the warming centres available in the City of Toronto. There are two in the Scarborough area that are currently open:

    • Malvern Community Centre
      30 Sewells Rd, (Neilson/Rd/Finch)
    • Agincourt Community Centre
      31 Glen Walford Rd (Sheppard/Midland)

TSH recognizes the exemplary service provided by its staff and physicians during the storm and into today ensuring seamless and excellent patient care. The hospital thanks everyone for going above and beyond during these challenging conditions.
